Points / frequency: FMC, LSCI (BUF) and FCI-I (BUT): no frequency limit, though the Warden may restrict visits to avoid overcrowding. FCI-II (BTF): 16 points per month, 4 points charged per visiting day (no points charged on federal holidays).

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No khaki or camouflage/ranger-green clothing
  • No outerwear, sleeveless shirts, or open-toe shoes
  • No form-fitting or revealing clothing
  • Nothing worn above the knee (shorts/skirts/dresses)
  • No clothing with offensive language or logos
  • Visits denied for noncompliant dress; Operations Lieutenant/IDO makes final call

You may bring

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport)
  • Clear coin bag (max 8x6x2 in) with up to $20 in coins for vending
  • Wedding ring, one religious medallion/necklace, religious headwear, stud earrings
  • Sanitary/feminine hygiene products (always allowed, no exceptions)
  • For children 3 and under: 3 clear bottles, unopened formula, 3 jars of baby food, baby spoon, 2 receiving blankets, 3 diapers, sealed baby wipes, one change of clothing, pacifier (no strollers or baby carriers)

Not allowed

  • Open/peep-toe shoes, flip flops, watches, sunglasses, hats, or visors
  • Paper currency, large purses/wallets/bags/cases
  • Cameras, tape recorders, radios, phones, or any communication device
  • Cigarettes, lighters, e-cigarettes, or any tobacco/nicotine product
  • Pocket knives, pepper spray, or other weapons
  • Gum, candy, outside food, cosmetics, playing cards, or toys

ID requirements
All visitors 16 and older must present valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID; signature-only ID is not acceptable.
Children
No specific age minimum stated for visiting, but visitors must supervise children in the designated play area at all times; inmates may not enter play areas. Only items listed for infants 3 and under may be brought in; no strollers or baby carriers.
Vending machines
Only coins are accepted at the machines; no paper currency. Visitors may carry a clear coin bag no larger than 8x6x2 inches.
