Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No sweat suits, pajamas, spandex, skinny jeans, leggings, or other tight/revealing pants or skirts
  • No shorts, except for children under 8
  • Skirts and dresses must be longer than the back of the knee, including any slit
  • Shirts must have sleeves to mid-bicep; no low-cut, see-through, tank top, backless, or bare-midriff tops
  • No open-toed shoes, flip-flops, sandals, or heels higher than 1 inch
  • No hats or headgear except religious headgear
  • No clothing that matches the color/style of inmate or staff uniforms
  • No gang-related attire, insignias, or provocative clothing

You may bring

  • Valid, non-expired government photo ID (driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport) for visitors 16+
  • One small clear plastic container or sandwich bag (max 8" x 8") with allowed items
  • Up to $25 in $1 and $5 bills or coins per visit
  • Life-maintaining medication (held by the Visiting Room Officer during the visit)
  • Limited infant items: pre-mixed formula/food, up to 2 bottles, 6 diapers, wipes, 1 change of clothes, 2 small blankets (max 2'x3')

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, cameras, recording devices, smart watches, and smart/meta glasses
  • Gifts, packages, or money to give the inmate
  • Food or beverages
  • Strollers, baby carriers, powders, creams, or ointments for infants
  • Pets, other than certified service dogs (no therapy animals)

Good to know

ID requirements
Visitors 16 and older must present a valid, non-expired government photo ID (driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport); foreign government-issued photo IDs are accepted. Credit cards, school IDs, birth certificates, and Social Security cards are not valid.
Children
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; children under 16 are limited to immediate family visitors only (exceptions need prior approval). Only children ages 5-12 may use the children's area; younger children may enter but must stay with their guardian (not the inmate).
Vending machines
Vending machines are for visitor use only; inmates may not handle currency, operate the machines, or enter the vending area. Items must stay unopened until back at the seating area and cannot be shared once opened.
Money you may bring
Coins or bills up to $25 per visit, only $1 and $5 bills accepted, carried in the one small clear bag
  • Call the institution ahead of your visit to confirm there are no schedule deviations
  • Do not arrive before 8:00 a.m.; processing starts at 8:30 a.m. and stops at 2:00 p.m.
  • Winter coats and headgear may be worn to and from the visiting room but must be hung on the coat racks provided
  • Inmates may purchase up to 5 photo tickets for photos with visitors
