Visiting days depend on their housing unit

General population inmates visit Saturday and Sunday. Monday is reserved only for Pre-Trial inmates, and Friday only for ICE detainees, so which day you can visit depends on the inmate's status.

Before you book anything, ask your loved one which day and time they're assigned — by phone, email or letter — and confirm it with the facility. The calendar shows every possible visiting day at this facility, not necessarily theirs.

Points / frequency: Each inmate gets 24 visiting points per month (1 point per hour Sun-Sat, 2 points per hour on holidays). Points do not carry over month to month.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No sleeveless clothing, bib overalls, wrap-around skirts, shorts, or khaki
  • No camouflage, hooded tops, or zippered tops; female visitors must wear a bra
  • No see-through clothing, and no white undershirt worn alone
  • No torn, ripped, or cut-off clothing; no low-cut, backless, or cropped tops
  • No spandex, leggings, yoga pants, sweatpants, joggers, or pajama pants; no scrubs
  • No plain khaki or grey sweat tops, and no plain yellow or orange clothing
  • Skirts and dresses must fall below the knee; no sandals or open-toed shoes
  • No hats, caps, coats, jackets, sunglasses, gloves, scarves, or other headwear (except religious or medical)

You may bring

  • Valid government photo ID for visitors 16 and older (driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport)
  • Clear wallet or clear coin purse with up to $20 in coins only
  • Small amount of infant items if visiting with a baby (see infant care rules)

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, smart watches, or any electronic device
  • Two-way pagers and pagers
  • Paper currency (only coins allowed)
  • Toys, books, or blankets for children
  • Infant car seats, strollers, or wearable baby carriers

Good to know

ID requirements
All visitors 16 and older must show current photo ID: driver's license, state ID card, military ID, or passport (foreign driver's licenses accepted). Credit cards, school IDs, birth certificates, and Social Security cards are not valid.
Children
Children under 16 must be with a responsible adult who supervises them the whole visit; unsupervised or disruptive kids can end the visit. The FCI has no separate play area (adults can check out games), but the FPC has a children's area for visitors only.
Vending machines
Visitors may buy food for the inmate from vending machines. Food must be emptied onto a paper plate and finished before leaving. Children under 16 may not use the vending machines unless an adult is with them.
Money you may bring
Clear wallet or clear coin purse (no larger than a quart-size bag) with up to $20 in coins only; no paper currency allowed in the visiting room
  • Arrive early: the visiting room stops processing visitors at 1:30 p.m.
  • Expect the FCI and FPC visiting room to close about 9:30-11:00 a.m. for the daily count
  • Lockers are available for coats, keys, and other items not allowed inside
  • Only a clear wallet or coin purse is allowed in the visiting room; leave bags in the car
