Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No sleeveless blouses, tank tops, or halter tops
  • No shorts
  • No shower shoes, slippers, or open-toe/open-back shoes
  • No see-through or low-cut clothing, or tops that expose the midriff
  • No tan, khaki, or fatigue-colored clothing (resembles inmate attire)
  • No dresses or skirts above mid-thigh, or with slits above mid-thigh
  • No spandex or tight-fitting, contoured clothing
  • No hats, caps, hoods, scarves, wigs, sweat suits, or watches, unless religious or medical

You may bring

  • Valid photo ID (driver's license, passport, or other government photo ID)
  • One small clear coin purse with up to $30.00 in coins only (no bills)
  • One clear diaper bag (max 12"x12"x4") for infant needs
  • For infants: 2 diapers, 1 container of wipes, 24 oz. pre-mixed formula, 1 unopened jar of baby food, 1 plastic spoon
  • One day's prescription medication (held by the visiting room officer)

Not allowed

  • Handbags, purses, or shopping bags (other than the one clear coin purse)
  • Food items, including gum (except the listed infant items)
  • Tobacco products
  • Cameras, recording equipment, or paper currency
  • Firearms, weapons, alcohol, or narcotics

Good to know

ID requirements
Present valid photo ID with signature (state driver's license/ID card, passport for non-citizens, law-enforcement ID, or similar government-issued ID). Visitors without acceptable ID are denied entry, and everyone passes through a walk-through metal detector and is subject to search.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an approved parent or legal guardian on the inmate's visiting list. Those 16-17 may visit without an adult if a parent or guardian has signed the Visitor Information Form. Visitors must keep children under control at all times, or the visit may be terminated.
Vending machines
Coin-operated vending machines are for visitor use only; inmates may not purchase from them or enter the vending area. Purchased food must be emptied onto a paper plate before eating. The institution is not responsible for lost funds.
Money you may bring
Coins only, up to $30.00, in one small clear coin purse (no paper currency allowed)
  • New-visitor processing stops 1 hour before visiting ends (by about 2:00 p.m.)
  • Bring only coins (up to $30) for the vending machines; no paper money is allowed
  • If the visiting room is overcrowded, visits within 100 miles may be cut short before long-distance visitors
  • Once you leave the visiting room, your visit is over for the day
  • The front lobby can call a local taxi for visitors who need one after their visit
