Visiting days depend on their register number

The main FCI is open on its scheduled days for everyone. At the Satellite Camp (FPC), Saturday/Sunday visiting alternates by the inmate's register number (odd digit = odd-numbered weekend, even digit = even-numbered weekend); Thursday, Friday, and Monday visiting at the camp is not affected by this rotation.

Points / frequency: FCI (designated/holdover) inmates get 12 visiting points per month: 1 point per weekday visit, 2 points per weekend/holiday visit; unused points do not carry over. The document does not state a separate FPC point limit.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No suggestive, provocative, or revealing clothing; no khaki or orange colored clothing at any time
  • Tops must cover the stomach, chest/breasts, and back — no sun dresses, sleeveless/sheer/low-cut tops, halter or spaghetti-strap tops; no jackets, coats, or hooded clothing
  • Shorts, skirts, or dresses must be no shorter than 3 inches above the center of the knee (for 16 and older); no cut-off shorts or culottes
  • No spandex, leotards, form-fitting clothing, sweatpants, or pants with holes
  • No hats, caps, bandanas, other headgear, scarves, or gloves (religious headwear such as kufis, yarmulkes, turbans is exempt)
  • Shoes required for everyone including children; no flip-flops, crocs, or shower shoes (open-toe shoes need a back ankle strap)

  • One small clear transparent bag
  • A reasonable amount of feminine hygiene items and infant food/care items
  • Life-saving medication only
  • Small bills, nothing larger than $5, for vending machines

Not allowed

  • Alcohol, narcotics, firearms, ammunition, or any other contraband
  • Glass containers of any type
  • Bills larger than $5.00; money left for deposit into an inmate's account
  • Personal wheelchairs (unless Warden-approved; the institution provides one if needed)
  • Any item to remove from the visiting room belonging to the inmate

Visitors must be on the inmate's approved visiting list, which requires prior identification/background processing; the document does not specify an exact accepted-ID list for entry beyond this.
Children
Visitors 16-17 not accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or immediate family member 18+ need written approval from a non-incarcerated parent/guardian/family member before visiting. Up to 3 children may visit at one time along with up to 3 adults. Only inmates enrolled in the parenting program may use the children's/parenting room with their kids.
Vending machines
Vending machines (sandwiches, candy, coffee, sodas) are in the visiting room, operated by the visitor only — inmates cannot enter the vending/microwave area. Food must be unwrapped onto a napkin and fully eaten in the visiting room; the vending area closes 15 minutes before visiting ends.
Money you may bring
Small bills only, nothing larger than $5.00, for vending machines (money cannot be left for deposit into an inmate's account)
  • Outside hospital visits (if an inmate is hospitalized in the community) are capped at 3 hours and need Warden approval
  • All carry-in items go through an X-ray machine, and visitors' hands are stamped for identification on entry/exit
  • Property lockers are available in the front lobby for anything not authorized inside
  • FPC visitors: confirm your even/odd weekend eligibility (based on the 5th digit of the inmate's register number) before traveling
