Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No miniskirts, mini dresses, or skirts/dresses above the middle of the knee; slits can't rise above mid-knee
  • No shorts above the middle of the knee, halter tops/dresses, strapless tops, or tank tops
  • No sheer, spandex-tight, sleeveless, cut-off, or midriff-baring clothing; no jeans with holes
  • No military-style clothing (camo, field jackets) and no khaki or light-brown clothing of any kind
  • No hats or headbands
  • No open-toed shoes
  • No shirts with profane, sexually explicit, or gang-related symbols or writing

You may bring

  • Valid photo ID for visitors 16+ (driver's license or other government photo ID)
  • Up to $30 cash or one debit/credit card, in a clear plastic bag (max 18"x18")
  • A clear change purse/billfold, comb/hairbrush, sweater or light jacket
  • Baby bottles, a reasonable number of diapers, one small blanket, and vacuum-sealed baby food
  • Life-sustaining medication (e.g., Epi-Pen, asthma inhaler, nitroglycerin tablets) kept on the visitor

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, cameras, or recording equipment (without advance written permission from the Warden)
  • Outside food or drinks; magazines, newspapers, books, photos, or photo albums (except attorney legal material)
  • Tobacco products of any kind (banned at both the FCI and camp)
  • Alcohol, narcotics, firearms, ammunition, or any contraband
  • Diabetic medication/needles/syringes (must stay locked in your vehicle, not carried in)

Good to know

ID requirements
All visitors 16 and older must present a valid photo ID — a driver's license or other valid state/government photo ID card. Positive identification is required and IDs are checked with a black light at multiple checkpoints.
Children
Children under 16 don't need to be on the approved visiting list but must be with an approved adult family member. Kids 16-17 without an adult may visit with written approval from a parent/guardian. Group visits are capped at 5 people total, and children in the visiting room count toward that limit (infants/children under 3 may be exempt from the general 5-visitor cap per Section H).
Vending machines
Vending machines and a microwave are available in the visiting area. Only visitors (not inmates) may use them. Do not bring outside food — anything bought but not eaten must be thrown away before leaving.
Money you may bring
No more than $30.00 in cash, or one debit/credit card, carried in a clear plastic bag (max 18"x18")
  • Special Housing Unit (SHU) inmates visit only via TRULINCS video in the Front Lobby, limited to one 30-minute block per day
  • Arrive by 8:45 a.m. on weekends/holidays — visitors arriving after 9:30 a.m. wait until the institutional count clears
  • No visitor is processed into the Visiting Room after 2:30 p.m. (except pre-approved attorney visits)
  • Once you leave the visiting room you cannot re-enter that same day
  • This is a shared FCI/Camp (FPC) supplement — camp (FPC) hours may differ; call ahead to confirm which schedule applies to your inmate
