Dress code

  • No see-through, tight, or revealing clothing
  • No sleeveless/halter tops, sundresses, or strapless dresses
  • No hoodies, jogging suits, athletic pants, or leggings/jeggings
  • No hats, scarves, gloves, sunglasses, or open-toed shoes/flip-flops
  • No camouflage, or solid white, khaki, dark green, or grey clothing
  • Knee-length Bermuda-style shorts are allowed; skirts/dresses must reach the knee
  • Only a wedding ring may be worn - no other jewelry
  • Female visitors must wear undergarments (bra); clothing must be free of metal

You may bring

  • Valid U.S. state or government-issued photo ID (or passport with U.S. visa/I-94, or U.S. military ID)
  • One debit/credit card per adult for vending
  • One clear coin purse, 5x7 inches or smaller
  • Reasonable amount of life-preserving prescription medication in original container
  • Limited infant items: premixed formula/baby food (max 2, sealed containers), nursing bottles (max 2), 3 diapers, wet wipes in a clear 5x7 bag, one change of clothes, up to 2 small baby blankets

Not allowed

  • Cash, coins, or any money left with the inmate or officer
  • Cell phones and other electronics (leave in your vehicle)
  • Watches, sunglasses, hats, scarves, gloves
  • Baby carriers or strollers
  • Tobacco products or vapes (no-smoking facility)
  • Animals, except certified service dogs

Good to know

ID requirements
Valid U.S. state or government photo ID (with compliant marking), a passport with U.S. visa stamp or signed I-94, or a valid U.S. military photo ID. Mexican consulate cards, plain passports without a U.S. visa, and school/work photo IDs are NOT accepted.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or immediate family member; 16-17 year olds without one need written parental/guardian approval. Visitor limit is 4 adults, not counting children (15 and under). Inmates may hold babies/children under 2; a play area with books and toys is provided but inmates are not allowed in it.
Vending machines
Vending machines for snacks/beverages are in the visiting room. Debit/credit card only (one card per adult) - cash and change are not allowed. Purchased food must be eaten or thrown away before the visit ends; none may be taken by the inmate.

No cash or coins allowed in the visiting room; one debit/credit card per adult for vending only
  • Both FCI and FPC (camp) at Talladega share the same visiting hours: Sat/Sun/Federal Holidays 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
  • Inmates get unlimited visits, but no more than 4 adult visitors at a time
  • No shuttle service; nearest motels are about 5 miles away, bus depot about 30 miles away
