Points / frequency: Each inmate gets 5 visiting points per month: 1 point deducted per visit on regular visiting days, 2 points on holidays. Points do not carry over; the Warden may waive points for major holiday periods.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No skirts, dresses, or culottes above the knee while standing, or with high slits
  • Capri pants allowed but must reach no shorter than the calf
  • No khaki-colored clothing (matches inmate uniform)
  • No shorts of any length, except for children 12 and under
  • No halter, tube, tank, or crop tops, or shirts that expose the midriff
  • Bra required; no spandex or see-through clothing, including plain white t-shirts
  • No form-fitting clothing, sweatpants, or jogging suits
  • No hats or head coverings of any kind (caps, cowboy hats, head wraps, sombreros)

You may bring

  • Valid government photo ID for visitors 16 and older (driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport)
  • Small clear coin/change purse with up to $40 cash (no bill over $5) and 1 debit/credit card
  • Car and house keys without pictures on the key holder or chain
  • Sealed feminine hygiene items, 1 handkerchief, 1 comb or hairbrush
  • Baby items if visiting with an infant (diapers, bottles, sealed baby food, small blanket)

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, phone watches, two-way pagers, and pagers
  • Food items, chewing gum, or medication (except nitroglycerin tablets)
  • Cameras, film, instant photos, radios, electronic games/toys, tape players or recorders
  • Newspapers, magazines, books, pens/pencils, and sunglasses (except prescription)
  • Large handbags, umbrellas, luggage, packages, blankets, and television sets

Good to know

ID requirements
Visitors 16 and older must present a current government photo ID: state driver's license, state ID card, military ID, or passport. Credit cards, school IDs, birth certificates, and Social Security cards are not accepted.
Children
Children under 16 may not visit unless with a responsible adult (18 or older) who is also on the inmate's visiting list. Up to 4 minor children are allowed per visit. Kids can't bring toys, books, cards, or electronic devices; a nursing area is available on request from the Visiting Room Officer.
Vending machines
Visitors may bring a small clear bag with cash or a debit/credit card just for the vending machines; nothing else may be given to inmates besides what's bought there.

Small clear plastic bag with up to $40 cash per adult visitor (no bill larger than $5) plus one debit/credit card
  • Processing starts at 8:00 a.m. and stops about an hour before visiting hours end
  • If more than 4 adults arrive together, ask about a 'split visit' to swap groups (only one swap allowed per day)
  • No more than 6 visitors, including children, are escorted in or out at one time
  • Keep cash to $40 or less per adult with no bill over $5, plus at most one payment card
