Points / frequency: Each inmate gets 6 visiting points per month: 1 point per Saturday/Sunday visit, 2 points per federal-holiday visit; visits may still be shortened or ended early if the visiting room is overcrowded

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No shorts, sleeveless shirts, tank tops, halter tops, or see-through clothing
  • No khaki, tan, green, orange, or yellow colored clothing; no camouflage or fatigues
  • No flip-flops, slippers, thongs, house shoes, or open-toed shoes
  • No hats, caps, or sunglasses (unless medically prescribed)
  • Female visitors must wear a bra; no miniskirts or sun dresses
  • Only a plain wedding band and a religious medallion are allowed as jewelry
  • No wrist watches, timepieces, or smart watches (camera/phone capability)

You may bring

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license or state ID) for visitors 16 and older
  • Small clear plastic change purse (max 8"x10") with up to $20 in cash/coins
  • One credit or debit card for the vending machines
  • Limited baby-care items for infants (diapers, wipes, pre-mixed formula, one blanket, one cup)
  • Only the amount of prescription medication needed for the visit

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, pagers, smart watches, and other electronic/communication devices
  • Food, gifts, games, needlework, pocketbooks, or baby strollers
  • Cameras or recording equipment without Warden approval
  • Weapons of any kind (no storage available on the Naval Air Station grounds)
  • Cigarettes and tobacco products
  • Jewelry other than a plain wedding band and religious medallion

ID requirements
All visitors 16 and older must present a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license or state ID card); school IDs are not accepted.
Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult family member or legal guardian who is already on the inmate's approved visiting list. Visitors ages 16-17 not accompanied by a parent/guardian need written parental consent and must show valid photo ID.
Vending machines
Vending machines in the visiting room sell sandwiches, candy, coffee, etc. Only visitors may use them (inmates are not allowed in the vending area); no outside food or drinks may be brought in, and purchased items must be eaten in the visiting room.
Money you may bring
Up to $20 in cash/coins plus one credit or debit card, carried only in a clear plastic change purse no larger than 8" x 10", for use in the vending machines
  • Arrive by 8:00 a.m.; new-visitor processing stops at 2:00 p.m. and everyone must leave by 3:00 p.m.
  • No one is processed into the visiting room during the 30 minutes before the 10:00 a.m. institutional count
  • If you were dropped off without a vehicle, ask the Front Lobby Officer for a locker to store unauthorized items
  • Visitor parking is in the lot next to the Camp Visiting Room Building
  • Expect random ION Spectrometry (drug residue) testing and searches of you and your belongings
