Points / frequency: Each inmate gets 16 visiting points per month: 1 point per visit on weekdays (Monday), 2 points per visit on weekends and holidays.

Visiting can be cancelled for lockdowns, weather or count problems. Call the facility the day before you travel.

Dress code

  • No tight, transparent, or spandex clothing
  • No tank tops, halter tops, or sleeveless shirts
  • No clothing with holes, wrap-around skirts, or hats/caps
  • No camouflage; no green, khaki, or orange clothing (matches inmate colors)
  • No plunging necklines (V-necks, scoop necks)
  • No open-toed or open-heeled shoes; shoes are required
  • Shorts and skirts must not rise above the top of the knee when standing
  • No hooded sweatshirts/coats or anything that could conceal the head; coats/jackets only allowed Oct 1-June 1

You may bring

  • Valid government photo ID for visitors 16 and older (driver's license, passport, or state ID)
  • Clear plastic 5"x7" coin purse with up to $20 (in $5 bills or smaller, or coins)
  • Small diaper bag with baby items if visiting with an infant

Not allowed

  • Cell phones, pagers, watches, cameras, or recording equipment
  • Toys, cards, wallets/purses, keys (except a locker key), food, gum, or candy
  • Newspapers, magazines, writing instruments, tobacco products, lighters, or matches
  • Lipstick, ChapStick, hairbrushes, combs, or lotion

Good to know

ID requirements
All visitors except children under 16 must show valid photo ID before entry: a driver's license, passport, or other government-issued photo ID such as a state ID card. Consular ID cards are not accepted.
Children
Visitors under 16 must be with a responsible adult who supervises them at all times. A play area in the corner of the visiting room is for children under parental supervision only; inmates are never allowed to supervise or enter it.
Vending machines
Food may be bought from vending machines in the visiting room. Inmates may not go near the vending machines or microwave, and food/drinks can't be shared between inmate and visitors.
Money you may bring
Clear plastic 5"x7" coin purse with up to $20 in $5 bills or smaller (including coins) per adult visitor
  • Arrive before 2:00 p.m. - visitors are normally not admitted after that time
  • Expect entrance to pause about 9:30-10:30 a.m. on weekends/holidays for the institution count
  • Storage lockers are available in the entrance building for items you can't bring in
